Learn About One Day Melrose & Frequently Asked Questions
One Day Melrose Inspiration

One Day Melrose was inspired was inspired by a nationwide project from the 1980's that asked high school students from all across America to take photos of on the same day and mail them in. Photos were then curated and organized into a print magazine that was distributed across the country.

Who is One Day Melrose run by?

One Day Melrose is a project created by a Melrose High School student to replicate One Day America from the 1980s. This inspired one student to create One Day Melrose - a digital scrapbook version with the hopes of bringing together the Melrose community through our art.

How does this work?

On October 20th, everyone is encouraged to create art in any medium that includes Melrose or is inspired by Melrose. Works can then be uploaded to the One Day Melrose website anytime between the 21st through the 23rd. All submissions will then be added to the One Day Melrose website and displayed for the remainder of the year until next year's One Day Melrose!

Why do you need a phone number to sign up?

A phone number is used only to send you reminders. There is no requirement to sign up, all are welcome to submit work whether you sign up for reminders or not. If you do share a cell phone number with us, we will send you a reminder so you don't forget to be creative on the 20th - we'll also send you a reminder when the deadline to upload work is approaching. One Day Melrose will never share or sell your personal information with others.

Our Mission
